The Wingate School turned to Feltum after completing the construction of a new building. The surfaces of the classrooms were made entirely of acoustically reflecting hard surfaces such as concrete, brick, and glass. The resulting acoustics made speech intelligibility difficult.

Feltum approached the problem step by step. We gradually put more TON Acoustic Wall Panels into a standard classroom until the desired reduction in reverberation time was achieved. This hands-on approach saved the school a considerable amount of money in comparison to having installed the number of acoustic elements that the computer models predicted.
